Many people think of a librarian as

someone who spends the day checking

out and re-shelving books in the library. BORING!!...however, a librarian also has the fun of purchasing those books and trying to find the perfect fit for each student’s reading pleasure.

Admittedly, one of the aspects that drew me to pursue a position as librarian is reading books and finding the “perfect fit” for a struggling reader.  Books have been such a part of my life, it’s rewarding to pass the spark on to others.

However, a librarian involves so much more!  I love collaborating with classroom teachers on their units, inspiring students to look for creative ways to demonstrate talents, and integrating technology and traditional sources to insure that my students are truly information literate.  Feel free to look through this site for creative ways that the staff at Arnold Public School have inspired information literacy.
